Games

This weekend, so far, I’ve basically just played games the whole time.

It started at work yesterday when my new co-worker, James, introduced me to Project64, a Nintendo 64 emulator. I started wanting to play all of the games I have in boxes somewhere without having to set up another console in my room. It’s great.

From the musical introduction of Banjo-Kazooie:

[Banjo and Kazooie]

To the predictable messages in Lylat Wars:

[Lylat Wars]

It’s been a lot of fun.

Last night I also played a game of poker with a bunch of my “online friends.” Seven of us played in total, but only ever 6 at a time. It was really awesome. We were (almost) all on Skype for the majority of the time too, so that really added something. It’s much better now a Skype call can include 10 people.

Hopefully the rest of the weekend will be as inexpensive 🙂 Having said that, I did spend £25 on a new USB controller so I could play N64 games properly. It’s very cool.

We thought those graphics were mint at the time. When they start to look really shit compared to new games, that means we’re old.

Also when I see that the games I remember so well came out in 1997 and 1998 and that was almost a decade ago. Ugh. I don’t wanna be old.

Stupid politics

People keep arguing over whether Bill Clinton or George W. Bush is to blame for the September 11th attacks…

Call me crazy, but I’m going to blame Osama bin Laden.

Where there’s blame, there’s a claim!

Oh wow, 10 points for originality on the “pid joke.” Never heard that one before.

If you go back to the website you came from you’ll see that it’s considerably more lame.

Do you have a URL for your site?

Site updates

The site may be a bit turbulent (or broken) over the coming days because I’m hoping to be making some changes to various parts of it that I won’t bore you all by going into right now 😀

So yeah, hopefully the whole thing will be much improved when the changes are complete.

Oh yeah, my PSP rocks!

New masterplan required

I can’t get a visa for the company who were looking into it for me because they can’t prove that there’s nobody else over there who’s equally (or more) qualified to do the job as me.

For shame. At least now I know I can count that out of my equations. For shame 🙁

I suppose now I need to spend some time working on new plans. My first thought is Adelaide. I have relatives in Australia, so it’s quite possible that I could go there. Sydney would be a great first step 🙂

I suppose I’ll get in touch with my auntie and uncle over the coming days when I’ve got a bit more of a plan and see where it goes from there.

Always planning, sometimes failing, never quitting 🙂

“Always planning, sometimes failing, never quitting” I’ve never heard you saying something like that….Wise and really good words! Australia sounds very good to me 😀

Scrimp and save

I’ve pretty much made myself broke until the 22nd of October already. Quite impressive.

I’ve put another £100 away as savings, making £200 in total, I’ve given £100 to my mum, I’ve spent £205 on my PSP, and I had an overdraft to pay off too. Now it means I’ve got £230 left until the 22nd of October with 2 £50 bills to pay just before I’m paid.

Oh well, money’s not everything, although I’m struggling to think of anything else off-hand.

I hate money. Since moving into my new house ive been SHITTTING myself.

im NOT looking forward to gettin my bills thru, cos i know they will be more than we’ve budgeted for.

Oh well, i have about 800 quid saved up – supposidly for travelling.. But if i need to dig into it, ill dig into it..

🙁

I find saving VERY VERY HARD!

Especially when there are so many nice pairs of trainers on ebay i want 🙁

haha

Hahaha, how can you spend so much money on shoes? Are you really a woman?

Posted by 0lly
They are so pretty..

No im not female… Im just addicted..

Its like a heroin addiction..

Just…one… more…pair…of….sneakers….

How do they do it?

I just can’t work it out 🙁

I figure they must be wearing the clothes already, but then the woman goes from small clothes to bigger clothes, so I don’t see how they’re concealed. Ugh.

I love the chatter at the end, not only because of The Hoff.

A comic for a change

I had an idea for a comic yesterday or the day before and I actually got around to making it 🙂

I call it Court of Contempt.

[Out Of Order comic]

It’s some javascript I knocked together 🙂

I include in the head of the document and then set class and onclick attributes on the image. The rest is magic.

Brief

I played with my PSP.

I watched The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. It’s very cool.

I went to the pub to do the quiz with Dave. We won a free drink each, which is great.

And finally… I’m going to bed now because I’m tired.

And now it’s time for the weather sponsored by Powergen (bringing you power, whatever the weather (except thunderstorms)): cold start in the morning followed by sunny spells across the east with a few clouds, and maybe some rain. Welcome to England.

Hi… It’s going fine thanks 😛

How are you?

I bought a PSP

I’m updating from it now. I love it!

I don’t like typing on it though.

Oh well, gaming calls!

DONT UPDATE YOUR PSP, If you have upgraded it you will be unable to play homebrew, emulation and other fun stuff.

Posted by psp
check out [URL] for all the cool homebrew software im talking about.

He said hes updating FROM it, not hes updating it, you fucking spastic.

Posted by Stu
I don’t want to play homebrew games anyway. I want to play the games I bought. At least one of which requires firmware version 2.80. So I’ll be keeping it current and not voiding my warranty inside of 2 days.
