*Thursday*
Went into town with Dave and got in an argument with some crazy drunk girl for about _the rest of my life_! She was very very angry and indignant that she was correct. It was funny winding her up for the first 30 seconds, but then her arguments got old.

We ended up in Liquid for a little while. It was quite empty because Qi just opened. Every review of Qi that I’ve heard so far say it’s pretty crap. Hopefully Liquid will be almost back to normal soon enough.

*Friday*
Played football after work. It was a bit cloudy so a bit less fun than the week before, but still great. Adam and I went for a couple of drinks in The Rushley, arranged for Lucy to play football next week. She plays a bit more seriously than me, so it’ll be _loads_ of fun being beaten by a girl… :(

Adam went back to his house to get showered changed, and I did the same here. Then he came back over and we went to Burger King. After we’d eaten there we went to Riley’s. We got there at about 9pm and we didn’t leave again until gone 4am. It was pretty awesome there. Some guy on another table hit one of the balls off the table and into an ashtray on a drinks shelf a metre or so away. One in a million shot, really.

Adam and I played about a million games of pool. In the end we were just smacking the balls as hard as we could. Some supposedly drunk man came over saying how terrible he was at American pool, and he just wanted a game. Then when Adam started to play him he suddenly wanted to put money on it. The second he started playing he sobered up. Stupid hustler. It was funny though, he’d obviously only been watching a few recent frames where we were pissing about. Adam beat him and took his money. He won three times, in fact. The guy only paid up for one though. When we left he wanted to change it to a fiver a game, but we just left.

*Saturday*
Adam came and picked me up just before mid-day and we set off for the ESSO garage to get sandwiches and petrol. Then we set off for Liverpool! The drive went quite well, I think. Apart from all the Morrisons lorries that we saw. That was weird. Oh, and also when a Vectra threw a fucking boulder at the windscreen at 100mph! Scared the absolute crap out of me because I saw it coming at the windscreen for half a second before it hit in front of me. The _*loudest*_ bang I’ve heard for a long time!

When we got to Liverpool we parked up at the Albert Docks and walked into the city from there. We were supposed to be meeting a guy that Adam’s selling a Champion’s League Final ticket to. He said he was in The Hog’s Head. We managed to find that pub after about an hour or something. By the time we did he’d left for The First National Wine Bar instead to watch the Liverpool – Fulham match. We found that one after another half an hour. Discovering, when we found it, that we’d already been practically outside the place earlier on. I’d even got a picture with it in the background. How annoying!

We met up with the guy and his friend in there and watched the match. Fulham won, and that didn’t leave the place with a very nice atmosphere, but oh well. After that we walked to the Liverpool Football Club store. Then a really messed up route to a cash machine, and then a sports bar. We stayed in there for a little while watching rugby, and then Adam and I left for Subway. We got foot long sandwiches and then headed back to the car park.

On the way into the car park we had a pigeon in front of us. It kept flying a little bit ahead of us all the way until it got inside the car park stairwell. The only way out of there is the doorway it flew in through. It started flying up and up, so we decided to chase it. :D

After that we went back to floor 2 because we remembered driving up a few ramps to find the parking space. Didn’t find the car there, so we went up to 3. No car. Then we tried 6, then 5, then 4, then 1. Finally we found it. Apparently we’d only gone up 1 ramp, which is definitely not the case, but meh. We got the hell out of dodge.

We sat and ate our now-cool sandwiches at the side of a road, then came back to Mansfield. To complete our day of going in circles we missed exit 27 on the M1 and ended up having to go back to it from the next junction down. Ugh.

We played a couple of games of pool in the Bull Farm Social Club before Adam dropped me off here so I could fall asleep forever.

*Sunday*
I went to my dad’s house for lunch. We also had a go at a music quiz DVD before my dad brought me back. I also threw away my old remote control car while I was there. It wouldn’t move any more. It might just have been the battery pack, but I’ll never use it anyway.

Adam came over after a little while and we went to the quiz at The Talbot. Bumped into Laura L and Stacey in there, as usual. We did a bit poorly on the quiz. We should have done a lot better than that, but we still wouldn’t have made the 55 points that won the quiz. It was good anyway.

This concludes my giant update about the weekend. It’s bank holiday Monday today, so I might get to do something cool later on, but no plans as of yet. Continue reading
