I was just looking around on Opodo.co.uk which I saw on TV the other day offering flights and I decided that I wanted to book my flights already… So, I found the price and then entered the details on the card that my dad gave to me with a £250 overdraw thingy on it. Then got all the way to the confirm button and realised that the flight was going to be on a Sunday and I should probably check coaches and stuff.

I went to GoByCoach.com and found a coach from Mansfield Bus Station which is literally 5 minutes from my house to Heathrow Airport which is where the plane is departing from. There were plenty of coaches, including one at about 1am. I decided to go for that one as I would probably still be up then anyway. I will be able to hang up the phone to Laura on Sunday morning and say “See you later” knowing that, for me at least, I will see her that day. Thanks to the magic of time zones I will arrive in San Francisco less than 12 hours after I leave Mansfield, that includes a 5 hour coach ride and a 10 hour flight. Excellent.

I booked my coach tickets then I went back and clicked the confirm button on Opodo and after I re-entered all of my details thanks to a session expiration caused by me booking coach tickets. That was it. My travel to the airport and back was sorted. My travel from Heathrow to San Francisco and back was also sorted.

I spoke to Shaun about getting a lift from the airport. He said he would keep the day free as I might still be meeting Laura there or something. I will be staying with Shaun for the two weeks I am there. He seems like a cool guy online. I would imagine he’ll be cool in person too.

So I also have my travel from San Francisco to my place of residence for the fortnight sorted too.

All I need now is travel between the places I want to go. I would imagine travel to see Laura will take up most of that, I hope so anyway, and I’ll also need to buy food while I am out there. I will most probably spend more money on cola than anything else. I don’t normally eat much so that should be relatively simple.

My tickets should both arrive in the next two days or so. With it being ready for posting first thing this working day I would imagine that I will get at least one of the tickets when I get home on Friday morning.

I’m feeling pretty happy right now, I wish I could be with Laura.

I will be in a matter of weeks now. Fantastic.
