Pictures and parents

Yesterday I wrote a fairly simple (but good) thumbnail generating gallery script for all of my pictures.
Over the next couple of days I’ll be getting it online so that people can see my pictures once again.

Laura and I went over to the Berkeley hills yesterday overlooking the bay. It’s really nice there.
hen we came back to my house via the video store and watched Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex* *But Were Afraid To Ask.
It’s a pretty funny movie, it has it’s moments.
Then we fell asleep on my bed because we were both really tired.

When we woke up it was 12:05, which is a problem because Laura is supposed to be home at midnight.
Laura left and got home by half past 12, which isn’t so bad right? WRONG!

Laura’s parents grounded her so she can’t see me today, they cut her curfew back to 11pm now too. She was half an hour late ffs. 30 damned minutes.
They said they were worried about her… Why didn’t they call her before half past if they were so worried? She has a cell phone.

Argh, it just seems so one sided.

Laura’s taking ACT classes monday to friday, she’s taking SAT classes on saturdays, she’s supposed to be starting diving this week, and these are all requirements set by her parents, not things she’s decided to do. Oh yeah, her mom also makes her go to church.
Making someone go to church is probably the thing that I hate the most. If they don’t want to go to church to worship something they dno’t believe in then you damn well shouldn’t be able to make them just because you believe in it.

Grrr, it makes me so mad to see Laura being so controlled in everything that she does. I only get to see her 1.5 days of the week at the moment, and I just lost one of those days ebcause she was 30 minutes late. Why not make her wait at her house for 30 minutes after she was supposed to leave and be done with it?

Also, her parents said that it’s inapropriate for Laura and I to fall asleep on my bed after watching a movie… Excuse me? It’s not like we’ve only just met or something. We’ve been going out for a year and a half, I first met Laura almost a year ago now. They’ve had plenty of time to get to know me. We were both fully clothed, and we slept. Better that Laura sleeps at my house than drives home tired, in my opinion. Apparently not better in the view of her parents. They said that she should drive home tired and then sleep when she’s at home. WTF? Yes, great advice there, drive tired.

It makes no sense, it annoys me quite a lot.

So yeah, I’m going now. Grr. Continue reading
