XML homework

I just spent all bloody morning doing XML homework 🙁

It’s so booooring so far. Hopefully we’ll start learning something cool and useful in the near future. I won’t be holding my breath though, that’s for sure.

Most of the homework was just answering review questions about various parts of XML/XSL/CSS/XLink.
The questions are all in a text book. So I did what I did in school. Go to the questions, then for each question you go back to the start of the chapter and looks for a keyword in bold text or a different colour and then you know you’ve found the answer. For each question you have to go back less pages than the one before because the questions always come in the same order as the material is covered in the book.

It’s so silly, they could at least pretend to put some effort in and re-arrange the questions… I know I’m supposed to have read the chapter, but why bother if pretending I have done is so much easier? I suppose for people who want to learn this kind of stuff in XML, especially in college, shouldn’t “cheat” like I do. But I mean mostly for schools, kids in school don’t really care about learning that much, at least in my experience, so the questions should be a little more difficult to answer. Change the order, do something to show comprehension rather than just copying a couple of lines from a few pages back in the book.

Bleh, oh well.
