I drove quite a lot

Today, after homework, Laura’s mom came over and let me drive the Camry for a while, quite a while in fact.
I drove down my driveway, along my street, did the exact same as I did with Mowgli the other day… Then I drove down a bigger street, practiced braking and stuff, to get a feel for the brakes. Did some random turns for more practice.
Then I went out onto main roads in populated areas o_O

I think I did fairly well. Laura’s mom said I did.

I parked a couple of times, stopped at stop signs, turned corners, overtook a stupid cyclist, held up other motorists who were harmlessly trying to break the speed limit ASAP, and a bunch of other stuff as well.

I like driving. I’ll hopefully be doing more of it.

I found myself constantly checking my speed, and looking for sign posts and stuff. I felt kind of bad for going slower than everyone behind me wanted to go, but screw them. If they can’t stick to the speed limit then they don’t deserve to be on the road. I don’t care if you’re a safe driver at higher speeds, the limits are there for a reason.

Bleh.

Laura and I watched Con Air and I finally got around to seeing the movie Pi. Con Air is cool, I’d seen it before though, but I like Nicholas Cage movies, they tend to be pretty good. Pi was … Well … Pi was strange. It was interesting, but highly unusual. Not what I had expected really… I liked it though. I guess I would do, it’s got computers in it, regardless of how old they are. Oooh, I did laugh when the guy had a 5 1/4 inch floppy disk 😀 Excellent.

Mmm, time to sleep.
