I just spent the last hour or two trying to get PHPNuke working for Craig’s brother.
The problem, it turns out, is that PHPNuke is utter crap and should never be used by anyone EVER.

Some SQL stuff just refuses to work. I ended up writing it myself, in the code, just so that the default theme would display. Then all I get is a bunch of crap text instead of the proper text. They use things like _ADMINLOGIN as a thing to be replaced by the language files, so it can be used in many countries. That’s all very nice of them, but it doesn’t fucking work!
I know it has done in previous versions, and I persumed it was just Shaun (Craig’s brother) doing something wrong. But spending all this bloody time on it has proven otherwise.
Perhaps his friend configured the database incorrectly, somehow… No, every test works on the database, using my own code and someone elses. So it’s just nuke. Plenty of other people are having the same problems that Shaun was having too.

Results 1 – 100 of about 6,690 for “Fatal error: Call to undefined function: themeheader()”

Almost 7000 results. Ridiculous.
