You know what’s not surprising at all in a kind of “that’s-hardly-surprising” way?
Today is St George’s day. The patron saint of England. Nobody in America will even know this… Despite the fact that a large percentage of the population could probably trace their roots back to England. But the other week when it was get-drunk-and-party-if-you’re-1/10000000000th-Irish they were celebrating as if they had moved over here from Ireland themselves.
St George’s day needs to be associated with something cool, otherwise nobody gives a crap.
Oh well, I’ll think of something one day, then I’ll make it world famous. You’ll see.
