Laura’s junior prom was yesterday.
Laura looked amazing, stunning, fantastic, etc. I feel I was the luckiest guy at the prom. Sucks for everyone else :P
There were 8 people in our group in total. Which was a nice number, not too large, not small.
We all had our photos taken in one of the other guys’ (Shaun’s) back yards. That was interesting, it was like a billion degrees in the sun. A billion and fifty when wearing a tuxedo.
It was crazy to have photos taken by so many parents. There must have been more cameras than parents.
We rented a limo and went to the place I said we would go. It was nice. Good food.
Everyone was staring at us as we arrived, which was interesting and on the way out of the place all of the girls were applauded by a bunch of guys with their alcohol levels quickly approaching their testosterone levels.
The limo was nice, smooth driving. There was a TV, a radio, drinks… stuff like that. Nobody stood up and stuck their head out of the sun roof :( Shame.
We arrived at the dance a little later than the beginning, but still earlier than quite a few other people. The decorations were impressive. A lot of effort had obviously been put into them.
The music was … Well, it was rap, hip-hop and R’n’B, which is my cup of tea (and I hate tea). There were a few tracks that everyone can appreciate though. Sir Mix-A-Lot – Baby Got Back for instance. :)
After the prom we all went back to Jenna’s house. I changed into some more comfortable clothes, then Richard (Jenna’s boyfriend) and I played pool for a couple of rounds.
He kicked my ass at the beginning of each game, but I managed to drag myself back into the match towards the end and had 1 ball left in game 1 and 2 balls left in game 2.
After that we decided to watch Happy Gilmore. Unfortunately Mario & Maria, and Shaun & Sasha had decided that the only two sofas in that room belonged to them, and managed to cover every single piece of both… Which was incredibly inconsiderate. Jenna, Richard, Laura, and I were sat on the nice comfortable wooden floor for an hour or so. Then I decided to steal some chairs from a different part of the house. It’s definitely weird to sit on a normal table chair in the middle of a room with no table nearby. Weird, but a LOT more comfortable than a wooden floor.
When it got to 2AM Richard gave Laura and I a lift back to Laura’s house where I stayed for the night. All the guys had to leave at 2, and the girls were all going to stay at Jenna’s, but Laura was tired and didn’t want to be awake any longer, or up early in the morning, so she went back to her house with me.
It was a fun day. I’m glad I had the opportunity to experience it.
There are pictures uploading as I speak, I’ll either post again when they’re finished or edit this post to give people a link to them.
The majority were taken by Laura’s dad with his new 5 megapizel camera, so they’re absolutely huge. 2560×1920 in fact. An average of 2.5MB per picture.
I’ll also get around to uploading the 6 pictures that Laura’s mom took with my camera at some point.
Anyway, I better get my homework done. It’s due at midnight and I feel tired already. Continue reading →
