I watched the finale of 24 earlier tonight. It was good. Kind of weak-ish I guess… But oh well.

I was reading a forum on the 24 website on Fox.com and I saw a thread for season 4 predictions… I’m posting the predictions I made so I can see how close I am when season 4 begins in January.

I predict that there will be 3 new employees at CTU, at least one of whom is connected in some way to someone else that already works there (possibly even former president Palmer (But definitely not in the field)). One, or possibly two of the new employees will be spies for the big bad guy(s) of the season. They’ll be found out by the other new person(s) and killed before they can go to trial, but will give out information that’s needed )possibly before being killed by an angry/upset relative or friend of the person that their betrayal killed.

Jack will have to either lie to CTU or evade them, and not give them all the information, in order to save the day.

Palmer’s ex-wife will be back, as per usual. Dr. whatever-her-name-was may also make a token return, once David is out of power.

Someone very Chapelle-like will take Chapelle’s place, and be a thorn in the side of the CTU agents throughout the first few episodes until we find out the reason for his behaviour, then a couple of episodes will be played out before the other characters discover the reason, then everyone will apologise and begin to work together, before the Chapelle-replacement is killed.

At least 2 people will be director of CTU for a couple of episodes.

Jack will have a love interest, who he pushes away because of his job.

Chase (whose hand falls off) and Kim’s ex-boyfriend from season 2 (the record guy) will have a cripple fight (oh come on, there’s always an element of comedy somewhere ;)

Yeah, that’s about it.

Oh yes, the big threat…. I dunno… Possibly someone kidnaps Palmer or something, it turns out to be his ex-wife. Or someone kidnaps a bunch of the major senators and stuff. They’ve pretty much run out of weapons, biological agents and stuff. Natural disasters are lame, no bad guys involved. Terrorists taking over a nuclear plant has been done too many times now, as per that other show that’s on soon… Meltdown or whatever it’s called.

I’m going to save these predictions and see how close I am in January.
