I read no end of stupid comments all the time, but I thought this one was quite impressive… It’s from a guy called Mark Corallo, who is a spokeman for Karl Rove (Bush’s Deputy Chief Of Staff).

“Without even having had a chance to review the complaint, it is clear that the allegations are absolutely and utterly without merit.”

I see… So without knowing what it is that’s being alleged you can say that it’s utterly without merit? What if the exact opposite of what was said was actually alleged in the complaint? What if the complaint says “George Bush is a nice man?” Is thatnow untrue, according to Karl Rove’s spokesman?
