All set up fine,username,password,then when I select something to record it comes up with a message saying problem with sky.
Jason, I just signed in with my own Sky account and managed to send the recording through without a problem. It was a bit slow, so perhaps the error messages is correct, and Sky were having problems at the time.
Please try again, and get back to me with what show you’re trying to record along with the time and channel so I can test it more accurately for myself.

Have you set up Remote Recording on your Sky+ box as per the instructions?
I have successfully set up a remote recording using my account details, and I have a report of it working from another user since your first comment. The lack of other complaints would also suggest that the application is working in the general case.
I to am having problems with trying use your program from my dtext. Will not set up to record. When I tried have the program check my login it enters my user name but not the password. Would be nice to get this working on dtext phone.
Can you let me know if you’ve been able to send a Remote Recording request from the official Sky website? Have you definitely set up your Sky+ box to allow remote recording?
Stu. I have got sky id and my mobile is registered on sky active however I am getting same error message as others. What if anything am I doing wrong
Registering for Sky Active and having an ID is a good start, but you will also need to configure your Sky+ box to allow remote recording, in the same section of the Sky+ menu (if you haven’t already). Have you completed all of the steps on this page: http://stu.ie/?page_id=2085 ?

I’m not really sure what to suggest now.
Can you use your login details to get into http://mysky.sky.com ? Can you set something to record from there if so?
I can confirm that 7 people have been able to send remote record requests in the last day and a half using the same version as you. That would definitely suggest the app is not at fault. It might make sense to double-check your username and password are entered correctly, and double-check that everything is accurately configured on your Sky+ box.
A test recording from the Sky website would perhaps help to narrow down the cause.
What actual error do you get when trying to send a request?
Stu at last I’m up and running. I couldn’t even work remote record from my sky even though my HD box and mobile were registered. I followed a troubleshooter guide through sky active and it got me to remove my profile then add a new one and change that new profile to primary user. Low and behold all works! Including your App. Can I just say that when I searched a show that I knew was on channel 5 tonight the App only found repeat on sky channels. Can this be changed
Last week couldn’t get mobile free trial or pc to remote record. Not changed anything but pc placed programme in my planner. Still no joy with phone tho. Any suggestions?
