30/365 – Some sort of train problem

When I caught the train on the 30th it was much busier than usual in the station. I assume some train got delayed or cancelled or something.

I took this picture because I thought it was funny that everyone was looking up and pointing, etc. It looks like something really interesting is happening out of shot, but it’s not. That’s where the train departure times/platforms are listed.

I also find that leg being perfectly in focus while the rest of the guy is blurry to be quite cool. 🙂

29/365 – Stupid camera, thinks it’s so smart

I got off the train and noticed that there was what I think is a planet near to the moon. I decided it would make an awesome picture. The camera on my phone is terrible, plus there was a lot of foreground light, so I couldn’t take a photo of it.

When Lizz arrived to take me home I got her to take us somewhere out of the way so I could use the proper camera in the proper darkness.

We found a place and I tried to take the picture. The camera just kept trying to focus. I turned auto-focus off and it still refused to take a picture. I held the button down for ages and it did nothing. I tried changing ISO exposure, capture mode, and every other setting I thought would have an effect.

In the end, just as I was getting really angry I moved to go back to the car and the bloody thing took a picture! It wouldn’t do it again when I tried a couple of seconds later, so this is the only picture I managed to get. Ugh.

28/365 – Robin Hood

My train was cancelled again this morning (twice in 3 days) so I had to walk from the bus station instead of the train station. This allowed me to take a bit of a shortcut by the castle.

On the way I passed by this statue of Robin Hood which is right beside the castle. I thought it’d be a good oppourtunity to take a picture I won’t get that many chances to take without going out of my way. 🙂
